MicroTech Drum Filter (MDF Filter)
The MicroTech Drum Filter (MDF Filter) is a two stage coolant filter system combining a solids settling tank and cellulose depth filtration in one system. The heart of the system is the microtech drum filter element with exceptional performance and reliability. The new filter system is a submerged element vacuum filter so the filter system’s pumps, valves and piping only see filtered coolant resulting in long service life.
The MicroTech Drum Filter is a permanent media submerged vacuum element filter. The drum is constructed using stainless steel wedge wire. The efficient design of the filtering element has a filter surface on both the inside and outside surfaces of the drum and is connected to a central collection manifold and then to a standard end suction centrifugal pump mounted outside the tank. The filtered fluid is pumped into a clean tank which has the clean fluid pumps that provide the coolant to the process at the desired pressure.
The cellulose coats the filter surface, building up a perfect depth filter cake. The powered cellulose is available in three different grades which allow the customer to choose from either 1, 5 or 10 micron filtration from the same coolant filter.
